Due to the increasing popularity of LCD computer screens, more and more people are using them in homes and offices. However, they do seem to have a tendency to get dirty quickly, and many people are scratching their heads on how to effectively clean a LCD screen. Here is how:
Many eyeglasses are made from delicate plastics, you can also use the eyeglass cleaner to clean LCD screens. However, when using eyeglass cleaner do not just spray it on the screen, instead spray it onto soft cotton or microfiber cloth and then use that to wipe the screen.
Very inexpensive, if you already have glasses chances are you also have eyeglass wipes to clean your glasses lenses. These are specially formulated to contain the right amount of fluid to clean but not damage glasses lenses, so you can also use them to clean LCD screens. Eyeglass Wipes will not scratch or damage your computer screen, so just wipe the screen down.
The most expensive method, you can purchase a specially formulated cleaning solution for LCD screens at most electronic stores. Be sure to follow all directions that came with the cleaner. However, a good tip is to spray the cleaner onto your cleaning rag and gently wipe the LCD screen.
Instead of purchasing a commercial cleaner, make your own homemade cleaner to clean the LCD screen. Mix a 50/50 solution of distilled water and white vinegar. Put this mixture into a small spray bottle. Spray a little bit onto a soft cotton cloth, and wipe the screen clean. Be very gentle so you don’t damage the LCD screen with scratches and streaks.
